he Department of Pedagogy, Psychology and Teaching Methods of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers was founded in 1982, Candidate of Science (Engineering) (1982 -2002) prof. K.D.Mirsaidov, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences (2003-2010) Docent Z.K.Ismailova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Docent R.A.Asomova (2011-2013), Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences (2013-2016) Docent D.O.Khimmataliev and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences (2016-2018) Docent M.Kh.Baybaeva, worked as head of the department. On the 25th of 2020, the department was renamed into "Professional education and physical culture", and Ph.D., prof. Z.K.Ismailova works as the head of the department. Under the guidance of potential teachers, the department conducts research work, as a result, to date, 6 doctors of philosophy (PhD), 2 doctors of sciences (DSc) have been defended. Since 2018, at the Department of Professional Education and Physical Education, there has been a basic doctorate in the specialty 13.00.05 - Theory and Methods of Professional Education. Today, a number of scientists and teachers work at the department. These are: Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professors Z.K.Ismailova, (Ph.D.) R.K.Choriev, associate professors: (Ph.D.) D.I.Muqumova, (DSc) R.Kh.Fayzullaev, (Ph.D.) D.A.Mustafayeva (PhD) F, Sadikovs, (PhD) senior lecturer A.Jumanov work effectively.

According to the results of research work at the department, about 400 scientific works were published, including 15 monographs, 9 textbooks, about 19 textbooks, teaching aids. As a result of improving the quality of the student scientific community and education, as well as the results of cooperation and fruitful work under the guidance of professors and teachers of the department, 1 scholarship of the president, 2 winners of Olympiads in the specialty "Pedagogy", Vocational education "and many others. A scholarship was received. The department has entered into agreements on innovative cooperation with similar universities in the country, as well as on professional education in the field of agriculture and water management, According to the "teacher-student" system, Cooperates with the Pakhtaabad Agricultural College and the Kumkurgan Agro-Industrial College at the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers. According to the order of the rector of our university dated January 5, 2023 No. 1 a/f, the name of the "Professional education and physical culture" department was changed to the name of the "Professional education" department. From June 1, 2023 D.I. Muqumova etc. is being developed in the services of the head of the department.
