Nizamiddin Mir Alisher Navoi, the great figure of the 15th century, was born in Herat on the 17th day of Ramadan (February 9, 1441). The city of Herat was  the second capital of the great empire founded by Amir Temur in the first half of the 15th century. It was one of the prosperous settlements under the younger son of Temur Shahrukh Mirzo. Alisher's family was was closer to the Timurid palace from old timesand had a certain reputation in the country. The father of the future poet Giyosiddin Muhammad paid great attention to the upbringing of his son. Alisher's first teacher in poetry was Mir Sayyid Kabuliy and Muhammad Ali Gharibiy. He was a good musician..."

The first year students of the Hydromelioration faculty held a flashmop “Forever Navoi” at the Alisher Navoi metro station. The event was also attended by the Uzbekistan-24 team. Alisher Navoi's works are like life encyclopedias. His 579th anniversary is widely celebrated throughout the country. Hari Dick, a Canadian scientist who is making a research on Alisher Navoi, described him as "a soul gardener who can save the world from spiritual degradation."
